Riviera is an unincorporated community in Kleberg County. Theodore Koch, a land developer from Minnesota, established the town and named it Riviera, after the French Riviera. It is south of Kingsville and about twenty two miles northeast of Falfurrias. Riviera is also the last stop for about sixty miles to Raymondville, going south, so its gas stations and restaurants are used by many travelers heading south.
